Dogs must be kept on a leash in the cities, in the cottage areas, the dunes and in the plantations. Also on the beach, dogs must be kept on a leash from 1 April to 30 September. Show respect and always take a bag with you for the dog droppings.

Throughout the year, dogs can be run freely in Rømø three dogs forests in Lakolk (west of the campsite), in Kirkeby Plantation (by Hviddal Lake) in Vråby Plantation (on the parking lot at Langdalsvej). It requires only that you have control of your dog and call it to you, so it does not bother other dogs and dog owners. Dogs forests are fenced, so dogs and wildlife can be kept separate. It is therefore important that the gates for the forest dogs kept closed.

In the winter months, from October to March, you may let your dog be loose on the beach, but only if it is liable to cause other damage
